This is the Igreja Nossa Senhora das Mercês e Perdões, constucted in 1772. I took this while I was living in Ouro Preto for a year as a visiting professor at UFOP. This photo has become my business card background. I returned dozens of times to recapture the light and color, and never could.
I now use this image on my business cards.
